Pick the cutter size you need and screw it onto the puncher. Lay your cardstock, chipboard, or journal cover on a firm surface (a cutting mat or a scrap of wood underneath is all it takes). Line up the tip and press down. The Spring-Spin-Cut mechanism does the rest: the spring spins the cutter as you press, slicing a clean round hole instead of crushing one. A built-in waste channel pushes out the punched confetti to keep the tip clear as you work.

–Will it go through my cardstock or chipboard?
It punches cleanly through cardstock, cover stock, and vellum, and handles chipboard or layered paper up to around 4mm thick — enough for most journal covers and signatures. Thicker board than that isn't what this tool is for.

–Is it really better than an awl or a Crop-A-Dile?
For binding, yes — an awl can slip and leave a crooked, torn hole. This tool punches a clean, round hole with one light press, so your sewing stations line up every time. For eyelets, a Crop-A-Dile often takes so much force it cracks the eyelet or dents the paper. This tool uses way less pressure, so your paper and embellishments stay intact.

–What can I use it on?
It's made for paper crafting: cardstock, chipboard, cover stock, vellum, and wrapped journal covers. Six interchangeable tips let you match the hole size to your project — small for eyelets and brads, larger for binding stations, ribbon, or cord. –Do I need any experience or other tools?
