Fold the sheets and square them up. Slide the stack onto the arm until the fold sits under the jaw, then press. Press again further along if you want a second staple. Swing the head if you need a different angle. Lift the top to load. Use 24/6 or 26/6, as stamped on the arm.

Staple On The Fold, Not The Corner
Hits The Fold, Not The Corner
A desk stapler dies at the edge of the sheet. This arm is long enough that the jaw sits on the fold, so the staple lands where the booklet actually bends. Square the sheets, slide them on, press once.
The Head Turns
The upper arm swings a full circle. You staple along the fold without turning the booklet. The plate under the jaw turns too, so the staple can sit across the fold or along it.
Staple Either Way
Turn the plate under the jaw and the staple lands the way the fold needs it. You move the head. The pages stay put.
