TrimLine is designed for heavy-duty leatherwork and can cut leather up to around 7 mm (17oz) thick. It works smoothly on most strap and belt weights. For extra-thick hides, a firmer pull might be needed, but the blade still delivers a clean, straight cut.
–Can it handle different types of leather?
Yes, TrimLine works well on a wide range of leathers — from soft chrome-tanned to firm vegetable-tanned and full-grain hides. For softer or stretchier leather, holding the material steady during the cut helps keep the line clean.
-How quickly does the blade wear out?
The blade wears out slowly, even with regular use. The package includes 10 full blades, and each blade is long enough to be used 3 times. Once one section gets dull, you simply replace the blade — quick and easy. That gives you 30 blade uses in total, making it ideal for long-term use without constant replacements.
