Remove the tip from your tool and hold the sharpener steady. Gently run the file along the edge of the tip in smooth, even strokes — up and down — for about a minute. Make sure you cover the entire edge evenly, without focusing on just one spot. Once done, your tip is sharp and ready for clean, precise cuts again.

-Is it hard to sharpen the tips?
Not at all. The only thing to keep in mind is not to grind too long in one spot. Simply run the file evenly along the entire edge for about a minute, and your tip will be sharp and ready to go again.

-Can it be used to sharpen tips from other tools or regular hole punches?
In general, yes — as long as the opening of the tip is wide enough for the sharpener to fit inside. The sharpener is 0.9mm thick, so any tip that can accommodate that size can be sharpened with it.

-Does it break easily during sharpening?
No. Despite how thin it is, the sharpener is designed to withstand the forces of regular use. If too much pressure is applied it may bend slightly, but it can easily be straightened back out. Under normal use, it simply won't break.
